Lush Soft Coeur Massage Bar

I love a nice bath and for me a bath isn't complete without a few lush products. I had never tried a massage bar before and after having my eye on this during my last few ventures into lush, I finally decided to pick it up.

It contains:  honey, cocoa butter, shea butter, almond oil, sweet wild orange oil and bergamot oil to ake your skin super smooth and also smells like chcolate - the perfect combination!

I use this on damp skin when I've just got out of the bath or shower. It melts perfectly onto the skin and sinks in pretty quickly too. The chocolate smell stays on the skin for ages which i'm not complaining about.

I really enjoyed using this massage bar and will definitely be trying other ones, any reccomendations?

Topshop Dash Lip Glaze

Topshop Dash Lip Glaze £6

I love Topshop make up, the packaging is cute, the prices are good and so far I have enjoyed every product I have used.

I dont normally use lipglosses as I don't find the colour pays off well on my lips. Dash does show up on my lips and for the price I was very happy with it, it's not sticky and lasts pretty well. I either use it on its own or over a pale pink lipstick like Mac's Creme Cup.

Rusk Deep Shine Oil

Rusk Deep Shine Oil  £13

Rusk Deep Shine Oil claims to "Smooth the hair cuticle and eliminate frizz". It is definitly the best hair oil I have ever used and over the last few months has transformed my hair from feeling like straw to being managable and soft. I use the oil on wet hair when drying it and again on dry hair, it doesn't leave my hair feeling greasy and absorbs almost instantly. When I run out I will definitly be repurchasing!

January Favourites

Miss Dior Eau De Parfum: This is my favourite perfume ever! It smells absolutly amazing and the scent stays around all day, it's a really strong, fresh scent that isn't overpowering atall. I also love the bottle, it looks so pretty sat on my dressing table!

Topshop Nail Varnish - Panther: This is from Topshops Dark Side Of Nude collection. Panther is a clear polish with holographic and black particles in. I use this over nail polish and find it is long wearing aswell as adding a glitery finish.

Revlon Colorstay Foundation:  This is a long wearing foundation for normal to dry skin. It provides heavy coverage without making my dry patches stand out. I would compare this to Mac's Pro Longwear foundation and think it is just as good for under half the price!

Real Techniques Blush Brush: I own and love many Real Techniques brushes but this is one of my favourites. Most of the time i use this to apply powder to oily patches and find just the right amount of product is applied. This brush is really soft and feels lovely on the skin.

Mac Cockney Lipstick: Mac's lustre lipsticks are my least favourite formula but i love Cockney, although the staying power isnt great it gives a lovely glossy red colour.

Benefit They're Real Mascara: This mascara is amazing! makes my eyelashes look so long and thick without looking spidery. This is my third tube of this mascara and i will carry on re-purchasing.

What are your favourite beauty items this month?

My New Make up Bag | Ted Baker

Ted Baker Wash Bag £25
I have always been a massive fan of Ted Bakers gorgeous bags and purses, and as I needed a new wash bag I decided to pick this one up. Its the Large Bow Washbag in Pink, and it's the perfect size to keep all my make up and a few skincare bits in for days where I'm away from home. It isn't to big to use as an everyday make up bag and it fits nicely in some of my bigger handbags.

Overall I think this is a beautiful wash bag and the quality definitely reflects the price!

My Favourite Cleansers

Taking your make-up off at the end of the day is a chore that has to be done. I like to use a make-up wipe (usually a Simple one) to remove my eye make-up and then a cleanser and muslin cloth or cotton wool to remove the rest.

These are my 3 favourite cleansers at the moment:

Liz Earle Cleanse & Polish: This is hands-down the BEST cleanser i've ever used. It removes every last trace of make-up and using it with a muslin cloth gently exfoliates the skin. It claims to "Cleanse and gently exfoliate for smoother, clearer skin" which it definitely does! At £14.75 for the starter kit which contains a 100ml Cleanse & Polish and a muslin cloth it's slightly pricy but it's definitely worth it as a little goes a long way.

Superdrugs Vinamin E Hot Cloth Cleanser: This is a dupe of Liz Earles Cleanse & Polish and at £4.99, is a third of the price, it contains 200ml - twice that of the Liz Earle cleanser. Overall it is a great cleanser, it doesnt remove make-up as well as Cleanse & Polish but is amazing for the price. It's "Rich in natural vitamin E" and after using it my skin is left feeling moisturised and healthy. I tend to use this on days my skin is feeling extra dry.

No7 Soft And Soothed: I use this cleanser with cotton wool pads instead of a muslin cloth as i find it works better at removing my make-up. It costs £8 and is available in boots stores.  It's fragrance free so is nice to use when ive broken out as it doesnt make it any worse. It removes make-up fairly well and i tend to use it when i'm not wearing much make-up.

New Years Resolutions 2013...

I make resolutions at the start of every year, and although I dont think I have ever gone a whole year sticking to one, I love the satisfaction of sticking to them for the first few weeks, sometimes months.

This year I've made 2 realistic resolutions that i really hope I can stick to, they are:

1- Save more money.  I am awful at saving money and working part-time in retail I'm obviously not made of money, but for the last few months pretty much all of my money has gone on new clothes, shoes and make-up, most of which I didn't need. Saving for the future will be much more beneficial than buying endless amounts of clothes and make-up (atleast, I'm trying to tell myself this).

2- Eat healthier and exercise more. I have never been a big eater or exerciser, but after a bit too much chocolate around christmas I am more motivated than ever to tone up. Going to the gym is my idea of hell so I'll be relying on Jillian Michaels '30 day shred' and my trusty rowing machine to get me a bikini bod.
